October holiday dining for children

Looking for options to eat out during the October school break in Scotland?

We’re sharing the current children’s dining options around the Quarter, from Leith Street Eats to Level 4.

Five Guys

Five Guys has introduced a brand new kid’s menu, offering a £7.50 meal designed just for little ones.

Children can choose between a Little Hamburger, Hot Dog, or Grilled Cheese Sandwich, each served with a portion of mini fries and a mini soda. For an extra treat, you can customise your burger with additional toppings or upgrade the drink to a mini milkshake.

Duck & Waffle Edinburgh

Duck & Waffle Edinburgh offers two special options for little diners with a dedicated breakfast menu and a kid’s menu.

Children can enjoy favourites like a Cheeseburger, Chicken & Waffle, Mac & Cheese, or Tomato Rigatoni, each served with a side of chips or broccoli for £10. Brunch choices include lighter options such as seasonal fruit salad, Greek yoghurt, eggs, waffles, or pancakes.

Pho

Enjoy a delicious meal and drink for just £6.95 with the Pho kids’ menu, featuring a choice of noodles, noodle soups, rice dishes, or skewers.

Even the tiniest diners are catered for with Baby Bun noodles – a toddler-friendly option for under-twos, served with a picking plate of plain noodles, sliced chicken breast, cucumber, baby tomatoes, radish, and prawn crackers.

German Doner Kebab

Children can tuck into a JR Doner Burger or OG JR kebab or enjoy a meal with the Boss Box JR.

The Boss Box JR includes a JR Doner Burger or OG JR Kebab, small fries, a soft drink, and Berliner Doughnut Bites — all served in a fun mini GDK lambo box.

Gordon Ramsay Street Burger

Children aged 10 and under can enjoy a tasty burger meal deal at Gordon Ramsay Street Burger.

Choose from a Beef Burger, Cheeseburger, Little G.F.C Burger, or Vegan Burger, each served with a side of fries for £10.

Thai Express Kitchen

Hippo noodle soup, general Thai-ger, Elephant noodles and Kid Kong Stir-Fry are on the menu for children at Thai Express Kitchen.

All Thai favourite dishes include a choice of kid’s drink.

The Real Greek

For £7.50, children can enjoy a main course, drink and dessert at The Real Greek.

All mains come served as a platter or in a wrap with the choice of grilled chicken, loukaniki pork sausage, halloumi or courgette fritters with chips and tomato and cucumber salads.

The Alchemist

Add a touch of magic with The Alchemist Apprentice menu, with a brunch and main meal option.

Brunch options include a pancake stake, full breakfast or hash and eggs. Main options include a choice of Bento Box and dessert for £9 including cheeseburgers, fried chicken strips and plant-based bites followed by a choice of chocolate brownie or toasted waffle.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme’s Night of the Skremes is set to bring a frightfully fun twist to October with a new doughnut range available across the holidays.

Presented in eye-catching Halloween boxes, the 4 limited-edition doughnuts include Howl-o-ween, Pumpkin Spicemare, Cookies & Skreme and Spellbound Sprinkles, available until Sunday 2nd November.
