Santa Express & Gifting Tree

Providing a festive backdrop to our packed schedule of activities this Christmas, visit our Santa Express pop-up on Level 3 and grab the perfect ‘elfie!

Here, you’ll also find our Gifting Tree, a heart warming initiative that gives guests the opportunity to donate gifts for children and young people across Scotland, in collaboration with our charity partner, Children First. Donate a new, unwrapped gift at our Guest Services Lounge on Level 1 and you’ll receive a tag on which you can write a special message to hang on the Gifting Tree – a symbolic gesture of generosity and community spirit. All gifts will be distributed by Children First to families across Scotland who are struggling to make ends meet this winter.

Elf Adventures

Get ready for some festive fun as Elf Adventures makes its magical return to the Quarter! Join Santa’s little helpers at the Santa Express on Level 3 on Sunday 16th November and Sunday 7th December, from 11am to 3pm. Little ones can learn what it takes to become one of Santa’s best elves through fun, festive activities and plenty of holiday cheer!

Tinderbox Music School

Our Christmas music workshops with The Tinderbox Orchestra will take place across Sunday 30th November with two FREE music activities for all ages. Try a variety of musical instruments and make music with the experts, playing as one big festive band or learn the art of improvisation and song writing.

Spaces for all sessions are limited, with bookings only available via the St James Quarter app.

Spreading festive cheer and providing the perfect soundtrack to your visit to the Quarter, we have a packed schedule of live performances throughout November and December. There’s everything from traditional carol singers to live bands, pop-up dance showcases to DJ sets.
