Free Mindfulness Session – Wednesday 15 May, 5.15pm – 6.30pm | Everyman Cinema, Level 5

Get out of your mind and into your body, and enjoy a free mindfulness session in partnership with Health in Mind at Everyman Cinema.

This session, which takes place during Mental Health Awareness Week, is an invitation to explore the body and bodily sensations as a source of mindful awareness. There will be an opportunity to participate in body-oriented mindfulness practices offered with a strong emphasis on attitudes of curiosity, kindness and non-judgement.

This session will end with mood and energy boosting tips from Neom Wellbeing.

Free Listening Spaces

Recognising the importance of Mental Health Awareness Week, and providing safe spaces for guests to talk about their experiences relating to mental health, Health in Mind is hosting a series of free Listening Space sessions in St James Quarter.

These Listening Spaces will take place in our Guest Services Lounge on Level 1. Guests are invited to drop in to speak to a member of the Health in Mind team to share how they’re feeling and to learn how to look after their mental health and wellbeing. A more private space for conversation is also available should this be required.

Health in Mind will listen with a compassionate and non-judgemental ear to whatever guests may wish to talk about. They’re impartial and respect your confidentiality. There will also be mental health information and resources available, and the team are on hand to give you information and guidance. These Listening Spaces are available to all.

Starting as a six week pilot, these will take place on:

  • Thursday 16th May- 2-4pm
  • Thursday 23rd May- 2-4pm
  • Thursday 30th May- 2-4pm
  • Thursday 6th June- 2-4pm
  • Thursday 13th June- 2-4pm
  • Thursday 20th June- 2-4pm

Team SJQ Charity Munro Walk

On Friday, 17th May, Team SJQ will be adorning our walking boots and climbing Ben Chonzie to round off Mental Health Awareness Week!

Getting outdoors, exercising and spending time with friends are all great ways of encouraging positive mental wellbeing, and we’re all very excited for this challenge!

We’ll be raising money for both charity partners, and if you would like to make a small donation, you can do so here.
