Edinburgh Seafood Festival

Edinburgh Seafood Festival is back from Saturday 3rd – Monday 5th May, bringing the world of Scottish seafood to the Quarter in what’s sure to be an action-packed, fun filled weekend!

Guests can experience the world of Scottish seafood in the heart of the city. With live cooking demonstrations, intimate supper clubs and exclusive dishes, there’s a menu of sea-inspired activities for everyone across the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The Seafood Stage

Get a front-row seat as gastronomic geniuses from the Quarter and beyond host interactive cooking demonstrations and masterclasses on The Seafood Stage hosted by Phil MacHugh.

In their masterclasses, chefs and mixologists from across the city will serve up a selection of delicious dishes and cocktails, using locally sourced ingredients, and share their top tips and industry secrets for creating restaurant quality food at home. This year, guests can take home an exclusive Edinburgh Seafood Festival recipe card featuring a selection of inspiring recipes to recreate in their own kitchens.

On Saturday 3rd May, we will be joined by delicious. magazine editorial director Laura Rowe and head of food Tom Shingler at the Seafood Stage for interactive chats with our chefs.

Oyster Giveaway

Join us for the Edinburgh Seafood Festival oyster giveaway!

We’ll be joined by The Oysterman who will give away 100 free oysters to guests at 14:30 on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May.

Family Fun

Offering fun for all the family, children can learn about the underwater world and take part in interactive activities including under-the-sea-themed face painting.

Local attraction Little Plaza will host our family zone on Level 3 with crafts, activities, magic and music for all the family across the weekend — there’s something for all ages to join in!

Children will also have the chance to meet a mermaid with two meet-and-greet sessions on Saturday 3rd May between 12pm-2pm and 2:30pm-4:30pm.

Seafood Specials

Indulge with seafood specials and menus in some of the Quarter’s most exciting dining and drinking destinations who will embrace the festival with exclusive dishes available for one weekend only.

Gordon Ramsay Street Burger

A Seafood Festival Exclusive! Scottish Crab and Prawn Roll, with Koffmans Fries for £18. Only available from 3rd May until 5th May.

Bonnie & Wild – Chulo’s

Chulo’s have created a Ben & Jerry’s inspired ‘Phish Food’ special available only across Edinburgh Seafood Festival Weekend.

Bonnie & Wild – Creel Caught

Creel Caught have curated two Seafood Specials just for you with the West Coast Langoustines in garlic butter, triple cooked chips, garden salad, or perhaps you’d prefer a 8oz Sirloin steak, tiger king prawns, hand cut chips, choice of garlic butter or peppercorn sauce.

Bonnie & Wild – East Pizzas

Bring Italy and the Ocean together East Pizza’s have created an original pizza, made only for Edinburgh Seafood Festival.

Smoked Trout Salmon pizza – Mascarpone, Smoked trout salmon, Rocket, capers and lemon.

Bonnie & Wild – Stack & Still

This is dish you won’t want to miss! Unique to Stack & Still, they are bringing –

Lozzie Bakes

Born from a lockdown idea, Lozzie Bakes is now serving up delicious French-inspired macarons. Catch this local gem at St James Quarter during the Seafood Festival, bringing a little Parisian sweetness to Edinburgh!

Belhaven Smokehouse

Artisan Smokehouse based in Scotland, known for fresh smoked salmon, trout and mackerel, along with fresh smoked cheese and butter! Make sure to visit this market stall on level 1 during the Edinburgh Seafood Festival.

Seafood Supper Clubs

For a completely unique experience foodies will love, St James Quarter is bringing back its much-loved Supper Clubs, where guests can enjoy a curated menu from a leading chef in an intimate setting.

Taking place in a state-of-the art kitchen space in Miele’s Experience Centre, guests are invited to take a seat around the Chef’s table for exclusive dinners over the Seafood weekend.

With 12 tickets only available for each supper club, these intimate experiences are bound to sell out.

In partnership with Miele, discover this year’s line-up including Barry Bryson and Paul Wedgwood so you can secure your seat for an intimate dinner.

The House of 0.0%

This May bank holiday weekend, the Edinburgh Seafood Festival welcomes Gordon’s, Tanqueray, Captain Morgan and Seedlip to serve up free samples of delicious alcohol free drinks for visitors aged 18 and over at the House of 0.0% bar.

Guests can enjoy a taste of their favourite brands – just without the alcohol. Running from 3rd to 5th May, the House of 0.0% bar invites you to enjoy a sip sample on-site or take away a can to enjoy later.  Same great taste, yet Alcohol Free — a great way to discover new alternative.
